Austria is a land-locked country, ocean containers can be delivered via land transportation from the ports of
Bremerhaven, Germany, Trieste, Italy, Koper, Slovenia, Rijeka, Croatia. Service is also available with full containers or de-consolidated cargo being delivered by trucks.
The transit time from port of loading to
Bremerhaven will be approximately on 18-20 days, depending on the shipping line and routing. The transit time going through Slovenia will be longer, approximately 24-27 days, however, the inland trip will be shorter. The major shipping lines servicing this region are
Maersk, MSC, ZIM, CMA-CGM, Evergreen, APL, OOCL.
USA InterCargo will deliver a full container under ocean Bill of Lading to the closest ocean port or agreed in-land location, but
final delivery to and within Austria will be responsibility of the consignee / importer.
